Who are we?
The experienced faculty consists of Intensivists, Anaesthetists, Emergency consultants from teaching hospitals throughout Victoria and Queensland.
We have a high number of specialist instructors in the course. This high instructor-to-participant ratio and the abundance of state-of-the-art equipments gives you ample opportunities to practise in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Through exposure to these varied instructors and faculty, we hope that you will learn that there are “many ways to skin a cat”.
Dr. Yogesh Apte
Redcliffe & Caboolture Hospitals, QLD
Dr Yogesh Apte is an Intensivist at Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals. He has a passion for education and simulation. He has completed Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, Harvard Simulation Instructor course and is an ARC accredited ALS instructor. He has been the convenor of ABC of Critical Skills Workshop since 2009 and a faculty at various courses including BASIC, SMACC, BICEC (Bala’s course).
Dr. Max Moser
Box Hill & The Bays Hospitals, VIC
Dr Maximilian (Max) Moser is an Intensive Care Specialist and Supervisor of Training at Box Hill, Maroondah and The Bays Hospitals in Melbourne. He is passionate about teaching and has completed a Post Grad Diploma of Clinical Education. He is ICU Simulation Medical lead at Box Hill Hospital, and has completed the Harvard course on simulation and debriefing. He has been convenor and faculty on numerous courses including BASIC and the ICE course.
Dr. Ashwin Subramaniam
Frankston & The Bays Hospitals, VIC
Dr Ashwin Subramaniam is an Intensive Care Specialist who has a passion for education and simulation. He is the Director of Intensive Care Unit in The Bays Hospital, Mornington. He is currently undertaking Post Grad Diploma of Clinical Education. He was the Chair of VICEN (2015-16). He was the Simulation Medical Lead of Peninsula Health (2016-17). He has been the convenor and faculty on numerous course including BASIC, Very BASIC, Beyond BASIC (Airway and Mechanical Ventilation) and SAFE courses.
